Chris Daniel is an award-winning creative professional and NY Emmy-Nominated producer, director, editor, and writer. With a career spanning major corporations, the U.S. Government, and international initiatives, Daniel has worked on diverse content ranging from documentaries to entertainment projects.

Collaborating with corporate leaders, military officers, and entertainment professionals, he has demonstrated excellence across various industries. As the President of Converging Visions—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit—he continues to pursue impactful storytelling with purpose.

Notable Works

The WBGO Story Documentary

Daniel’s acclaimed work includes The WBGO Story, a NY Emmy-nominated documentary funded by the NJ Historical Commission. It highlighted WBGO founders Bob Ottenhoff and Mrs. Dorthaan Kirk (widow of Rahsaan Roland Kirk, NEA Jazz Master recipient) and screened at NJPAC’s Annual TD Bank James Moody Jazz Festival. The film premiered on NJPBS and PBS for Jazz Appreciation Month.

PBS Series Pathway to Success

Co-creating the award-winning PBS series Pathway to Success, Daniel partnered with John E. Harmon, Sr., President and CEO of the African American Chamber of Commerce of NJ (AACCNJ). The series is now in its sixth season, showcasing professional achievements and pathways to success.

Diverse Productions and Directed Works

Daniel directed and edited the Central Jersey Jazz Festival, a dynamic, five-camera virtual concert, and produced a series of dramatic training programs for Traumatic Event Management Specialists to support soldiers with PTSD—featuring a cast of 30 professional actors.

Among his notable projects are:

Producing a multi-award-winning documentary with Walter Cronkite on West Point’s 200-year history.

Presented works for the Believe, Build, Complete & Become Summit.

Creating impactful videos and exhibits for the African American Chamber of Commerce’s Juneteenth Black Business Expos, including collaborations with the Greenwood Cultural Center (Tulsa, OK) to highlight Black Excellence from the 1700s to Black Wall Street in Tulsa, OK.

Nonprofit Film Production

Converging Visions is a nonprofit film production organization dedicated to harnessing the power of media, technology, and music to Create, Educate, Empower, Express, Mentor, and Enlighten. Together, we believe impactful storytelling can transform lives, inspire change, and foster meaningful connections.

Our mission is to raise funding for compelling film projects that challenge perspectives, spark conversations, and leave lasting impressions on audiences worldwide. Every film we produce is rooted in purpose, driven by creative integrity, and backed by a shared belief in storytelling as a force for good.

Corporate and Government Collaborations

Daniel’s portfolio includes video marketing projects for the U.S. Government, including vivid training and promotional videos for the USMC and US Army, as well as content for autonomous vehicles. One standout achievement: he was selected from hundreds of producers nationwide to create a marketing video for a government agency, fulfilling major Department of Defense video requirements. His expertise shaped scripts and schedules that were recognized as exemplary national standards.

Jazz and Creative Excellence

Passionate about Jazz, Daniel has interviewed top multi-Grammy-winning artists, including Christian McBride and Joey DeFrancesco. Collaborating with the Studio Museum of Harlem, he worked on a Jazz/literary series featuring icons such as Amiri Baraka, Melvin Van Peebles, Randy Weston, Max Roach, Clyde Taylor, and Virginia Hamilton.

Educator and Independent Projects

As an educator, Daniel developed and conducted the Empowerment through Media Workshop to teach video production and entrepreneurial skills for the NJ Juvenile Justice Commission and other NJ/NY locations. Independently, he produced works including Kid to Kid: Staying Safe! featuring Dr. Loretta Long from Sesame Street and Shotokan Karate Basics.
